Esther Locascio Author About the Author
I was born in San Antonio, TX, the eldest of five kids in my family. I was also the only girl, with brothers who enjoyed rough and tumble play such as football. I preferred curling up at home reading library books that stirred my imagination, taking me to faraway places outside of Texas. My interest in reading led to a desire to write my own books someday. After high school, I attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. I was hired at the now-closed Kelly Air Force Base after graduation; it’s where I worked when I met my husband, Chuck Locascio, an Air Force officer. We married and were later transferred to Offutt AFB near Omaha, Nebraska. I became a stay-at-home mom and learned various arts and crafts in my spare time. I also volunteered at my kids’ elementary school and my family’s church. With encouragement from my husband, who is also my business partner, I began writing and submitting my work for publication a few years ago. I've recently written articles for the Catholic Writers' Guild monthly newsletter and RTJ's Creative Catechist magazine. Ebram's Story: The Haunting is my first published book. Chuck and I are parents of four kids: one son attending a local university, another son in the seminary, and a son and daughter in high school. Most of my family members are allergic to cats, so we have dogs. Smitty is a Miniature Schnauzer who loves to play fetch. Maggie, our Chihuahua, loves to wag her tail and lick every human in sight, especially their feet.
